Getting into my core sound/genre of music to which I'm known for. METAL. There is no band, not one, that has embodied the machismo Conan the Barbarian style of METAL than Manowar. Pure man music. Oh yeah, women love them to. But, this is a man's band, pure and simple.
You want loud? No one is louder than Manowar. Set the world record in 1984, broke it twice since.
1976 - The Who @ 126dB
1984 - Manowar @ 129.5dB
Bands that have achieved 132dB, Rolling Stones, Motorhead, AC/DC, KISS, and Iron Maiden.
2008 - MANOWAR @ 139dB.
The threshold of pain? 130dB.
Manowar takes it's shows seriously. Their recent show in which the set the dB record. Involved: 7-semis, 8 buses, crew of 100, 450,000 watts of lighting, 150,000 watts of sound equipment, and 40,000 watts of stage amps.
They are often referred to as cheesy. They don't care. Their mantra is DEATH TO FALSE METAL. This is the kind of metal you ride into battle with. If Odin himself had a house band, it would be Manowar.
